Lead the Enterprise Content Solutions team in Bogota and Canada. Manage the technology and relationship between our business line partners and information technology partners globally; ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures and provide leadership and guidance to the overall Technology and Operations Strategy.

  • Effectively work with our technology and business partners to provide innovative solutions that are sustainable, flexible, reliable, and scalable to continually meet the growing global footprint.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, technology partners, stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and their teams, to facilitate collaboration.
  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen business partner’s relationships and knowledge.
  • Ownership for the Content Management Technology Strategy and Roadmap
  • Take a strategic focus aligned to business priorities and bring innovative thinking to strategic problems.
  • Supervise teams that deliver transformative technology initiatives to enable success through increased efficiency, reduced cost, faster time to market.   Oversee teams working on the implementation of solutions that address risks and issues that have a broad impact on projects, systems, and teams (e.g. software currency, vulnerabilities)
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage platform capabilities effectively, deliver future proof technology solutions and take a leading role in initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation throughout the Bank.
  • Provide IT leadership, PMO and finance with the data to support and maintain operating budgets and business cases.
  • Participate in the process to establish, communicate, and manage objectives, strategies and plans for the Development Teams, ensuring quality principles are adhered to in a ‘speed-to-market’ culture.  
  • Review planned activities for future initiatives, participate in forward-planning sessions and identify/resolve conflicts between initiatives. 
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. 

 

 


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Subject area experience with Content Management Solutions is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts, and then effectively communicate these concepts with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Strong analytical, finance & accounting, data processing and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a leadership role with application development, technical architecture, data, or delivery focus.
  • Experience managing operating budgets and project budgets.
  • Strong project management skills, able to multi-task and manage concurrent projects.
  • Experience with vendor product assessment & selection, vendor management & negotiating contractual terms.
  • Proven ability to deliver platforms and capabilities and managing solutions through the lifecycle.
  • Significant experience leading complex solution implementations and team sizes ranging from 40 to 60 resources.
  • Deep understanding of heterogeneous infrastructure technologies, business drivers, emerging technology trends related to customer information systems – e.g., Legacy Technologies as well as Cloud, API integration, and leading transformational change incorporating modern technologies.
  • Subject area experience with Financial Industry products and services preferred: Retail Banking/Lending, Commercial Banking/Lending, Credit Card Processing
  • Considerable experience transforming a delivery team to adopt Agile principles and operate in an DevOps environment enabling CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
  • Understanding of IT business continuity, cybersecurity, and integrated risk management and optimization methodologies is highly desirable, along with knowledge of IT Business Management.
