Senior Manager, Finance & Capacity Planning

This role is accountable for managing the finance planning process for the Digital Banking Unit in Canada, as well as assisting in finance planning for Enterprise Digital Banking. She/he is expected to work closely with Digital Banking and Executive Office Finance, in collaboration with Canadian Banking Finance. The main function of the role is to develop detailed funding requirements based on capacity planning to achieve business objectives. In addition, she/he is expected to develop a point of view on digital funding return on investment. This role is also responsible for day to day finance functions in digital banking, including development and integration of digital banking processes with bank wide finance planning functions such as budgeting, forecasting and reporting. She/he will also be responsible for providing input on cost allocation models and making recommendations on costs savings opportunities within DBC

Based on scope of Digital Banking Unit Canada activities identified by Digital Factory leadership strategic planning, establish on an annual basis;
     oHead count plan
     oPlan for project funding
     oDetailed baseline budget across all digital banking Canada transits
Prepares budget forecasts
Reconciles actual expenses to plan
Develops finance process to account for entirety of funding, including mechanism for capitalization
Designs finance processes (funding requests, contracts approval etc.) for digital banking operating model
Develops time tracking recommendations for centralized resources to maximize flexibility
Develops expense policy for Digital Banking Unit Canada 
Develops process for expense management
Develop model to articulate ROI, with linkage to business and KPI reporting

Key success factors


Previous work experience with significant accountabilities relating but not limited to:
     oDeveloping financial planning processes for new cost and profit centers in a complex organization
     oHighly Analytical, sound understanding of financial and management accounting principles 
     oAbility to create and articulate ideas to achieve outcomes more effectively
     oAbility to influence executives and stakeholders from other parts of the organization  
     oFinancial modelling experience 
Experience in a Financial Institution company or investment banking firm an asset
