Purpose

The Senior Manager, Manufacturer Partnerships oversees critically important Retail Automotive Manufacturer relationships and is responsible for championing for the business’ strategic initiatives within Scotiabank. The incumbent will ensure the customer portfolio assigned to them receives ongoing day-to-day attention to maintain, improve, and retain relationships.

 

Accountabilities 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary liaison and trusted advisor for OEM partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on strategic objectives.
    • Proactively anticipate partner needs and deliver tailored solutions that strengthen relationships and drive long-term loyalty.
    • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and ongoing strategic discussions to identify growth opportunities and reinforce partnership value.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute manufacturer initiatives with precision, ensuring exceptional partner experience and operational excellence.
  • Strategy, Analytics and Oversight
    • Provide strategic oversight of manufacturer portfolios, contracts, renewals, and end-of-term reviews, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and compliance standards.
    • Leverage data analytics and market insights to identify opportunities, diagnose performance trends, and develop actionable strategies for profitability and process improvement.
    • Drive product oversight, forecasting, and strategic initiatives by influencing senior leadership through well-supported recommendations based on market dynamics and portfolio performance.
  • Product Development and Implementation
    • Drive the development and execution of innovative loan and lease product strategies, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends and profitability goals.
    • Lead product lifecycle management, including pricing analysis, business case development, and collaboration with internal teams to optimize offerings and enhance performance.
    • Oversee client-driven initiatives and manage end-to-end product implementation using structured project management methodologies to deliver timely, high-quality results.
  • Partnership & Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with OEM partners to co-create solutions, applying an agile mindset to adapt quickly to changing priorities and market dynamics.
    • Hold partners accountable for agreed-upon objectives while fostering transparency and trust to ensure mutual success.
    • Leverage strategic influence and data-driven insights to motivate partners toward shared goals, driving long-term value and deepening relationships.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:  

  • 5+ years in automotive finance and experience in Loan and Lease administration/management
  • University Degree or related experience
  • High client focus and Relationship Management expertise
  • Self-reliance and pro-active approach to work
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills with superb attention to detail
  • Highly developed analytical capabilities, problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
  • Experience managing a P&L is considered an asset
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and manage time effectively


Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  Moderate travel domestically within designated region
