Contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Digital Customer Security Services (CSS) in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.




  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with ability to build and foster relationships with business users, stakeholders, technology partners and coworkers.
  • Knowledge on Authentication and Authorization technology best practices
  • Manage IST and QA lower environments support and escalation, troubleshooting, follow up on workaround or resolutions that minimizes outages that could impact CAMS releases or channels releases.
  • Liaison with various Bank Stakeholders to manage the day to day interaction with channels and ensure the QA Services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and to have a 'Can Do' attitude.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology backed by hands on experience, development techniques and best practices for an enterprise framework.
  • Develop and qualify new testing methods.
  • Maintain JIRA Test Repository ensuring defects are assigned to testcases, ensuring every release has supported evidence of the testing performed to cover audit needs.
  • Perform E2E testing in lower environments for CAMS projects Onboarding new channels, regular and mayor releases, currency upgrades, etc.
  • Increase product quality with enhanced automated test coverage, ensuring new features testing is fully automated.
  • Complete remaining multiple negative test cases, cross browser testing, implementation of Serenity BDD framework for UI automation enhancement, IOS mobile scripting and Parallel test executions.
  • Strong Selenium skills for web automation testing.
  • Strong Appium skills for mobile automation testing.
  • Strong JIRA skills, using X-Ray tool to connect with automation platforms like Cucumber, Robot, Framework, or Selenium to manage CAMS Automation and Test management
  • Programming background and Unix experience is an asset.
  • Processes strong problem-solving and analytical skills to rapidly assess problem situations and creatively develop alternate solutions. 
  • Escalate or closure cases within the Case Management Tool in order to assist the team with excess flows.
  • Ensure creation of testing documentation and artifacts including test cases, automated test results reports, etc
  • Write technical reports or documentation such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses
  • Facilitate problem solving on a day-to-day basis as required.
  • Accountable for prioritizing tasks and delivering on all assigned work. Ensure deliverables are in-scope, on-time and of high quality.
  • Partner with Development and Engineer, Architecture and Product Engineers teams to manage the Testing work stream deliverables.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships, create a shared vision and commitment for transformation.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details.
  • Must be able to think conceptually out-of-the-box.
  • Operates independently day to day.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
