POSITION TITLE: Wealth Management- Fall Co-op Student, Business Solutions


DEPARTMENT: Wealth Management


WORK TERM: Winter 2021 (January - April 2022)




Position Summary


The incumbent while working for the Asset Management - Business Solutions team will be responsible for operational and administrative support for Dynamic, Scotia Securities Inc (SSI) and Scotia Asset Management (SAM) which includes ScotiaFunds, Summit and Pinnacle.


The incumbent will work with both internal Scotiabank groups such as the Investment Support, Shared Services, IT&S, RESP Centre and Wealth Management Contact Centre along with the Dynamic Funds operational teams along with external vendors to help implement new processes and procedures.


Additional duties may include but are not limited to; Tracking and forecasting project spend. Scheduling meetings, creating agendas, producing, and circulating meeting minutes. 



Key Job Accountabilities



  • To provide analytical and administrative support to the Asset Management - Business Solutions team including queries, documentation, and general day to day support.
  •  Responsible for managing, updating various working documents and provide weekly status updates to the Business Relationship Manager.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with internal and external service providers.
  • Manage a number of different reports including, but not limited to agendas, finance and meeting documentation.
  •  Act as a contact for the project stakeholders.
  •  Provide statistics on current spend and timelines in a timely manner.
  • Draft, document and review detailed project and support communications that will ensure details are being communicated as required.  This also includes assisting with developing detailed reports for project dashboard.
  •  Assist with workflow and procedures for pre- and post-implementations to ensure that proper support is in place. Potentially draft policies and procedures for project roll out to ensure a smooth transition from project implementation to day-to-day operation.





  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
