POSITION TITLE: Governance, Reporting & Planning Associate


DEPARTMENT: International Wealth Management, Caribbean and Central America and Uruguay (CCAU)




WORK TERM: Winter 2021 (January- April 2022)







The Governance, Reporting and Planning Associate will support in tracking and evolving the Head Office and in-country governance structures, managing the team’s data analytics and business intelligence function, and supporting the annual planning process for IWM – CCAU region. The Associate will work closely with the CCAU leadership team to provide support. 






  1. Governance: Support the execution of the Head Office governance structure
  • Monitor compliance of the governance structure by ensuring that all meetings are conducted in accordance to their meeting mandates;
  • Prepare materials for all governance meetings aligning the same to ensure the objectives are met
  • Ensuring all meetings are appropriately documented including agreements and decisions made and all documentation is stored appropriately.
  • Coordinate IWM’s participation in GWM & IB Governance structures by preparing business reviews, management team meeting updates and other updates as required.
  • Working with Finance, coordinate review of financial results.
  • Work with GWM Finance and countries to create consistency in reporting.
  • Propose enhancements to the governance structure as appropriate.



  1. Reporting: Preparation of governance and reporting materials for use with CCAU, IWM, GWM and IB executives
  • Manages the process to deliver insightful business analytics and strategic reporting to the business line’s Senior Management and decision makers.
  • Communicates complex strategic and financial concepts in easy-to-understand & highly visual presentations.
  • Prepare materials for Business Reviews, GWM Executive Meetings, Country Leadership Meeting, Executive Team meetings and ad hoc as required
  • Define process and timelines for the preparation of materials and ensure timelines are met.



  1. Business Intelligence: Support Business Intelligence and Portfolio Insights:
  • Collaborate with the Business Delivery team on the creation and maintenance of data infrastructure
  • Support Manager of Business Intelligence and Portfolio Insights in creating cyclical and ad hoc reporting to support data-driven management at the Head Office and Country Level.
  • Leverage existing data to generate new business insights helping the management team identify historical and future trends in international wealth management.
  • Develop partnerships with in-country data teams to leverage additional data sources and insights.
  • Work with Wealth Leaders and teams in-country to develop relevant reporting and understand the context behind trends. 



  1. Planning: Develop and track the planning process for IWM to ensure clarity, consistency and timely deliverables
  • Develop process & documentation for the IWM planning accounting for the IB, GWM and in-country processes to ensure timelines are met
  • Work with Finance, PMO and other relevant stakeholders to Coordinate and support the planning cycle for IWM including: Profit planning, SIP process, Head Office budget & allocations.
  • Work with business heads in-country to ensure a detailed planning process and that their growth plans are in line with targets.
  • Support Business Areas with data necessary in the assessment of project initiatives.
  • Work with Business Delivery Team to Coordinate the business case cycle for key strategic initiatives.

  • Working experience preferably in Wealth Management and a completed / in progress undergraduate degree in business or economics is required.
  • Experience in Analytics and data management
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, ThinkCell and PowerBI
  • Strong bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to communicate strategic and financial concepts in easy-to-understand and highly visual presentations.
  • Proven track record managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines and dealing with certain levels of ambiguity.
  • Proven analytical skills, conceptual thinking and systematic problem solving
  • Ability to work both independently and in an agile, highly collaborative work environment.
  • Individual must be highly organized, able to meet tight deadlines and have experience working on projects.
  • Developing leadership skills, with a proven ability to build strategic relationships and influence
  • Strong project management skills, capable of developing & executing plans
