As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!

 

The Summer Intern, Enterprise Communications, will support Scotiabank’s Enterprise Communications function, which includes teams responsible for executive communications, leadership engagement, and for protecting and enhancing Scotiabank’s reputation in the media and with external stakeholders. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Assist with research to aid in the development of internal and external communications
  • Assist in the creation and development of materials for various Enterprise-led communications and initiatives
  • Design banners, infographics, and other visuals for internal and external communications, events, and other initiatives
  • Support the planning and execution of town halls, leadership meetings, and events
  • Provide support for the Bank’s quarterly reporting communications
  • Assist in the drafting of social media posts for executives
  • Assist with news and social media monitoring to provide decision-makers with timely updates and analysis, and to proactively identify and manage breaking issues
  • Assist with award submissions
  • Support the wider Enterprise Communications team with various tasks as required

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions and/or hackathons.
  • You have a natural curiosity and awareness about current market and business trends.
  • You pride yourself on thinking outside of the box and bring in ground-breaking ideas to the team
  • Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva 
  • Comfort and experience using Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail 
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently 
  • Superior research skills 
  • Event planning experience is a strong asset
