Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Develop, test and improve software components supporting digital assets, tokenisation and programmable payments.

Learn and apply blockchain fundamentals, including transactions, consensus, finality, token models and smart contracts.
-
Assist with smart contract development and testing for token issuance, transfer, redemption, validation and exception handling.
-
Help integrate blockchain components with APIs, microservices, payment systems, ledgers, databases and enterprise platforms.

Contribute to proofs of concept, prototypes, pilots and minimum viable products, with guidance from senior team members.

Analyse end-to-end on-chain and off-chain transaction flows and help investigate technical issues.

Write unit tests, participate in code reviews and follow secure coding, version control and documentation practices.

Create clear technical notes, diagrams, implementation records and testing evidence.

Collaborate across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, product, risk, compliance and operations.

Learn how solutions are designed for security, privacy, resilience, scalability, performance, auditability and operational readiness.
You have knowledge/experience in:
-
Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a diploma or degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information technology, mathematics, data science or a related field.

Foundational programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, C++, Rust or Solidity.

Understanding of core development concepts such as data structures, APIs, databases, testing, version control and debugging.
-
Interest in blockchain, distributed systems, digital assets, payments, financial technology or cryptography.
-
Ability to investigate an unfamiliar problem, consider alternatives and communicate your reasoning clearly.
-
Willingness to learn, collaborate across disciplines, receive feedback and contribute positively to an inclusive team.
Helpful, but not required
-
Coursework or projects involving blockchain, distributed systems, smart contracts or event-driven applications.
-
Exposure to Ethereum, EVM-compatible or permissioned blockchain platforms, token standards, wallets or digital signatures.

Experience building or consuming REST APIs, or working with microservices, messaging platforms, cloud services or containers.
-
Familiarity with Git, automated testing, CI/CD or open-source development.
-
Interest in payment processing, settlement, reconciliation, banking systems or financial market infrastructure.

Experience explaining a technical project or trade-off to a non-technical audience.
