The Velocity Program is not your average internship or co-op! This is a customized experience that focuses on providing you with the development and tools you need to grow your career. After successfully completing a co-op or internship with top performance, we will work with you to establish your future placements. As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!  

 

 You will contribute to the overall success of the Global Real Estate & Corporate Services (GRECS) department in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.  

 

Is this role right for you?  

 

The Leasing team is responsible for important and prestigious projects relating to Scotiabank’s Real Estate, in Canada and internationally.  In this role, you will: 

 

  • Collaborate with the retail and office team to deliver high quality leases  

  • Be responsible for production of documentation in written form, to a high quality and professional standard  

  • Develop written and visual materials to represent retail and office premises  

  • Gather market data 

  • Work with external stakeholders (ex: Landlords) 

  • Work on special programs, projects, or initiatives to meet Bank Strategic Objectives as assigned by GRECS leadership.  

  

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:  

 

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education, preferably real estate or a related program.  

  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.  

  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions and/or hackathons.  

  • Some experience in GIS is considered an asset. 

  • You are proficient in Microsoft programs. 

  • You demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines 

  • You are able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders 

  • French or Spanish is an asset, but not required.
