The Team

The Solution Architecture and Non-Financial Risk Management team is responsible to deliver on multiple mandates including: building the Architecture framework and Governance for all of Enterprise Technology and delivering technology roadmaps for key internal clients (Fraud, Compliance, Enterprise Risk).

The Role:

  • Develop enabling solutions for the Enterprise Technology division (Global Finance & Risk Technology; Employee Experience Technology; Global Operations)
    • Design and deliver against analytics strategy (building capabilities across portfolio and establishing standards to enable Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence)
    • Oversee the Service Reliability Office to build resilience and improve service availability
    • Establish Design Thinking and Engineering practices
  • Modernize portfolio of applications by developing technology roadmaps and executing against plan in portfolio (Compliance, Fraud, Collections, Enterprise Risk)
  • Lead a team of eager technologists to help transform how employees experience technology at Scotiabank in their day to day

 

What you bring to Succeed:

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to create and inspire a shared vision, with the ability to execute on the plan
  • Proven experience designing operating model that bridge current to future state in order to optimize processes and drive organizational efficiency
  • Extensive proven leadership experience with deep expertise in multiple areas of technology (architecture, development/engineering, systems resiliency) 
  • 15+ years or more of direct hands-on experience managing large and complex programs
  • Strong people leadership skills with passion for growing leaders
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence across business lines, technology partners and senior leadership
  • To partner with our global teams, Spanish is an asset
