As the Technical Product Manager, you will be a key driver behind initiatives of the software team.  This entails not only being the founding member of the technical product management team but also innovating the process and development strategies to support growth. This is not the standard product management role, as this role is responsible for building the development support structure, meaning products that are consumed by internal teams rather than external customers, which means getting in the trenches and participating in activities across the board.

Is this role right for you?

  • You will work with a fully Agile development environment (JIRA and related tools)
  • You will set priorities for the development team
  • You will define requirements which meet business needs
  • You will coordinate with business stakeholders and continuously make sure your team is delivering according to the constantly growing needs of the business.
  • You will help the engineering team navigate obstacles and own the final product deliverables, as well as, the overall roadmap for your area of responsibility.
  • You'll be responsible to define and drive the team towards the vision of the mobile wallet
  • You'll be responsible to explore the market and industry for better solutions and positively differentiate the Scotiabank offering in that space


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

  • You have 5 or more years of Technical Product Management experience in Software Development
  • You're well versed in the Agile methodology and experienced with it (perhaps as a Scrum Master or Product Owner)
  • You're experienced with CI/CD processes and releases management
  • You are skilled at performing business requirements analysis and design
  • You're an excellent communicator 
  • You have strong organizational skills and are able to prioritize goals and roadmaps for multiple teams
  • You're skilled at identifying and mitigating development risks
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Electrical Engineering
