• Provide solutions and support to the Retail, Small business & Commercial collection operation in International Banking.
• Defining methodologies, approaches and scope for software development, application architecture and systems integration relating to Collections Technology.
• Design and maintain cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure / EDLR platforms.
• Support mission critical collection applications and technology processes across the IB Countries to help our business partners
• Assessing and analyzing collection Infrastructure and requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives to meet security, stability and reliability needs
• Ensuring alignment of project solutions within the infrastructure guidelines, principles and patterns as defined in the Collection Technology roadmap
• Provide customer service excellence with regards to the collection of delinquent portfolios.
• Leads the Collection development deliverables for the Collections Lab, in support of the collection application for IB Collections units.
• Provides technical consultation and direction for the development of Collections Technology solutions
• Manage APIs for integration with different applications related to Collection and 3rd Parties.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud-based solutions and APIs.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration with Azure services.
• Manage to resolve issues related to collection infrastructure and applications.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of BNS’ Core Banking (ScotiaPro, ScotiaGlobe, Bantotal) process, db.
• Experience with services such as Cyberfinancial, Digital Channels, TRIAD, TSYS, EDL, ROO, PCI Compliance, APIs or Azure Service Bus
• Experience with other Azure services such as Data Factory, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Azure Logic Apps, or Azure Service Bus
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Highly developed interpersonal communication style; self-starter with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities and work with others towards a common vision.
• Accurate and thorough investigation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Proven experience in successfully implementing change through best practice change methodologies
• Experience building APIs in Java or Python
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
