The Technical Lead for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) provides hands-on technical leadership for a multi-site, enterprise AEM platform supporting global marketing properties. This role combines active development, architectural oversight, developer mentorship, and platform modernization to ensure optimal use of AEM’s native capabilities and Adobe integrations.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

•    Lead a team of 4–7 full-stack developers delivering features on AEM (AMS / AEM LTS).
•    Serve as the subject matter expert for AEM architecture, services, and core platform capabilities.
•    Drive modernization efforts by transitioning custom-built components to Adobe Core Components and standardized content models.
•    Promote proper use of AEM’s OSGi services, Sling models, workflows, and authoring framework.
•    Provide hands-on development in Java, The HTML Template Language (HTL), and front-end integrations (including React where appropriate).
•    Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to align solutions with AEM best practices.
•    Collaborate with Product Owner and Deployment Manager to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
•    Support integration with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
•    Provide technical support and guidance to content authors as needed.
•    Ensure marketing content implementation aligns with financial regulatory requirements for clarity and accuracy.
•    Platform Governance – Guide technical direction and prevent non-native patterns from undermining AEM’s architecture.
•    Component Standardization – Normalize product and service data models to improve authoring efficiency and reuse.
•    Developer Enablement – Raise AEM competency across a full-stack team with varying experience levels.
•    Enterprise Stability – Maintain scalable, maintainable solutions within a high-traffic financial environment.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

•    Deep experience with AEM (6.x / LTS), including AMS-hosted environments.
•    Strong understanding of Core Components and content architecture best practices.
•    Experience integrating AEM with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
•    Java, The HTML Template Language (HTL), Sling, OSGi expertise.
•    Ability to mentor developers and elevate platform maturity.
•    Experience supporting multi-site enterprise implementations.
