Critical to delivering this vision is the implementation of a Common Investment Platform – a common technology stack with the ability to leverage common processes and workflows globally.
In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous development and evolution of our Common Investment Platform. The ongoing migration of the Jarislowsky Fraser business onto this platform is a key strategic initiative that you will be working on, in addition to continuous enhancements that allow for the introduction of new product types, automated trading workflows, and streamlined operational workflows. Charles River, SimCorp, and S&P EDM are the key applications that make up the platform.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Drive discovery and requirements gathering for the Jarislowsky Fraser Institutional client account migration.
- Gather requirements, complete analysis, and provide technical specs for development team.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, compliance, and operations teams to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and integration efforts.
- Work in close collaboration with the entire Project and BAU Support teams to ensure on-time deliverables and project milestones.
- Identify and implement internal process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce time expenses.
- Participate in engagement with key partners and stakeholders to understand investment data and reporting requirements and participate in design, planning, testing, and solutions delivery.
- Document configuration changes and maintain technical specifications.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree, with a technology, computer science, or business focus, or equivalent education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Investment Management applications.
- In-depth understanding of financial markets.
- CFA designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working with Charles River, SimCorp, and EDM is considered an asset, and preferred.
- Thorough and demonstrated understanding of the front-to-back investment management trade lifecycle.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol and integration with trading platforms.
- Experience working in an asset management or financial services environment.
- Proficiency with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, ETL tools)
- Ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with business partners and effectively communicate with both business and technology data stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
