The Team  

 

Group Treasury Technology (GTT) Team is looking for a Technical Business Lead Analyst to support technology platforms across the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department to measure and manage market risk (interest rate, equity, etc.). This group creates models, financial systems, applications, and processes required to support various functional teams in TBSM. 

 

 

The Role  

 

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for big data system analysis.  You will work closely with business teams and cross functional engineering leaders to gather data requirements for the various big data & reporting projects within GTT.    

 

 

As part of the role, you’ll   

 

  • Build and lead BSA teams in regulatory, integration and key strategic projects. 
  • Work effectively with stakeholders like Market Risk Management and Analytics, H4 Collateral, Modelling, ALM/FTP, Data and various technology partners. 
  • Define & document requirements, perform data/system/impact analysis, develop test plans and execute and/or support UAT. 
  • Define and implement the Intelligent automation strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and automation best practices. 
  • Provide consultation to business partners on best practices and standardization when building out dashboards/apps. 
  • Design multi-dimension data models leveraging data in many formats (SQL, xml, xlsx, csv, Sharepoint directories, websites, etc.) that allow in-depth analysis. 
  • Work with technology partners (e.g. Solution Designers and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solutions options and recommendations. 
  • Keep management informed of projects progress and potential risks with clear and concise recommendation on risk mitigation. 
  • Spearhead process changes efforts by working in collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders to detail current state and desired state end-to-end processes. 
  • Actively participate in quality management reviews, including designs, prototypes and other requirements work products. 
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis, data mapping, quality assurance, project delivery practices and standards across the project delivery lifecycle. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and pinpoint how to manage integration. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and lead problem resolution. Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels 
  • Close collaboration with business and other members in TBSM Technology to ensure that the requirements are implemented according to Bank's SDLC development standard. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications  

 

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. 
  • Graduate degree in finance, business, risk and/or economics is an asset. 
  • Experience working in Agile. 
  • 5+ years of experience in related fields of finance, data, bank treasury, capital markets. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to audiences with various backgrounds and seniority. 
  • Hands on Advanced Excel, SQL, automation tools esp. low/no code. 
  • SDLC / Agile methodology experience. 
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse. 
  • Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management. 
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to foster a culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism.

  • Leads and provides guidance on the identification, maintenance, and reporting of traceability of system requirements 
  • Works independently as the senior or lead system analyst and coaches/guides members within area of expertise.
