Title:  Technical Business Analyst with Liquidity Risk & Stress Testing - 6 months

The Global Risk Technology Liquidity Stress Testing (LST) group is responsible for regulatory reporting of the Bank's liquid assets/liabilities.  

The incumbent must be a a dedicated self-starter with strong leadership and coaching skills. 

The position will entail mostly Operational Support of Business As Usual (BAU) system flow for Production runs of daily and monthly LST processes, as well as ownership of the monthly regression testing of system enhancements. Data Quality ticket issues that arise from in-production discoveries by the business are handled by the incumbent through investigating and documentation of the steps to resolution for the development team if not able to be resolved outside of system code change. At times the incumbent will be asked to help out with system enhancement tickets, documenting the issue by speaking with the business users and putting together full technical requirements for the development team to implement.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and maintain production support for existing Stress Testing processes
  • End-to-end ownership of monthly Regression Testing
  • Manage and lead new small-to-large regulatory initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with business stakeholders and various production support teams
  • Conduct periodic reviews of productionalized IT processes to identify streamlining opportunities and promote continuous process improvement methodologies


Skills Expereince and Functional Competencies


 Functional Competencies


  • Must have at least 5 years of working experience in the IT or Risk industry with knowledge of banking products; Capital Markets (derivatives) product knowledge an asset
  • Must have strong working knowledge of SQL, Unix, Python or alternative coding languages
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server databases is ideal
  • Knowledge of BIS tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Business Objects are an asset
  • Familiarity with Microservices, Cloud, DevOps, Hadoop, Kafka are an asset
  • Advanced level skills in Excel and other Microsoft productivity tools are required
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, perform well under pressure, and change priorities as needed



  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or related field
