Team Overview:

The FX Options Technology team is part of Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME), supporting FX desks and traders across Toronto, New York, London, and Singapore. The team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, delivering solutions for complex exotic products and a wide range of downstream users including confirmations, regulatory, risk, and product control.

 

The Role:

As a Level 7 Technical Business Analyst, you will lead and support the Murex application and its integration with FX Options workflows. You will act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring that business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed effectively and in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Lead requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders across trading, risk, finance, and operations.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, including reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints.
  • Drive solutioning sessions with architecture, development, and security teams to inform high-level estimates and delivery plans.
  • Maintain and refine product backlogs, user stories, and release timelines.
  • Investigate and resolve application issues related to P&L, PLVar, VaR, simulation views, and e-Tradepad.
  • Validate financial models and valuations for FX Options products.
  • Support UAT and production releases, including test case creation and evidence tracking.
  • Collaborate with vendor teams and manage open tickets and issue logs.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 3–4+ years of hands-on experience with the trading platforms, FX options (Murex/Calpyso Preferred).
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, derivatives, and risk metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead and prioritize multiple initiatives in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Experience with business/functional requirements documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Tidal.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Degree or certification in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a capital markets technology environment.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting and reconciliation processes.
