**This is a 13-month full-time contract opportunity**

 

Contributes to the overall success of the Collections in multiple countries including Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, and Uruguay by supporting daily Production activities and Project initiatives as per the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensure that all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. 
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Perform Production Support duties:
    • Raise and detail incident information on BNS Service Now
    • Communicate incident details to external partner systems as needed
    • Work with team members to triage incidents
    • e.g., Run database queries, Review application logs, Search processing folders, Test connectivity
    • Resolve incidents to minimize impact to operations
    • e.g., Transfer files as needed, Assist with work arounds procedures as needed
    • Update knowledge base / reference documentation as needed
    • Fulfil Service Requests
    • e.g., Set up / maintain user access, Retrieve voice recordings from database


 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary degree at a recognized institution
  • Expereince with SQL Databases, EDL, EDW, Azure
  • SFTP, Telnet, Windows and Linux / Unix 
  • Diagnosing problems: Desktop PCs, networks, system access, Windows and Linux servers
  • Production Support and related tools e.g. Service Now
  • Communicates effectively in English and Spanish e.g. can articulate technical issues to business users
  • Attention to detail e.g. writes accurate incident reports and technical support documents, 
  • Possess problem-solving skills working within finite timeframes
