The Role:

 

The Technology Delivery Lead works in partnership with application owners and technology groups, planning and guiding application teams through remediation of software currency exposures ensuring that application owners are managing their portfolio in accordance with the Bank’s Software Currency Framework.  This involves being proactive and helping future proof software portfolios in respect to supported software. This includes researching and alerting application teams of pending End-of-Life dates, the creation of remediation plans, working with technology groups to provision servers and coordination between testing and business teams, tracking of the progress and the validation of remediation completion. If the application teams run into challenges/blockers, these items are raised with management. They assist application owners in understanding the software current reporting tools, CMDB, impact of reporting KRI and management indexes. The intention is to be the trusted source of all things software currency.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with portfolio owners, application and technology teams that assist during the remediation process.
  • Coach and support teams through the end-to-end remediation process, ensuring alignment with the enterprise software currency framework.
  • Provide clear communication and guidance to application teams, helping them plan proactively before technologies expire.
  • Identify and communicate variances in standards to plan owners, providing clear reasoning.
  • Build out project plans identifying dependencies and mitigating risk.
  • Help manage project financials.
  • Update tracking tools and generate reports on progress and issues.
  • Act as a bridge between application teams and GTEP/GTS to meet software currency requirements.
  • Prepare and support VP / Director level meetings to ensure visibility into remediation health and progress.
  • Review software currency remediation plans for milestone realism and timeline adherence. Validate that plan end dates are achievable and supported by the plan details.
  • Seek opportunities to improve efficiency in plan validation and reporting.
  • Enhance reporting insights and performance to support informed decision-making.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • College Diploma or University Degree.
  • Minimum three-year experience in technology role.
  • Strong communication, active listening and relationship building skills; as well as the ability to adapt.
  • Managing technical risks and acting as a bridge between technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify potential technical bottlenecks or security risks early as they relate to remediation.
  • Understanding of the concepts and skills required for project management.
  • Understanding of technology terminology (Cloud vs On-Prem, Server Buildouts, etc.).
  • Customer-centric environment with a focus on negotiation skills (Experience with Enterprise Software Licensing Models).
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel & Project.
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow Discovery.
