The Team Lead, Scotia Financial Planning (SFP) Support is a critical support function for the SFP channel, responsible for the execution, guidance and oversight of all support activities performed by the SFP Support team. This role ensures that operational processes, governance practices, technology support, and people leadership standards are delivered consistently, and in alignment with enterprise policies, regulatory expectations, and business priorities. The Team Lead, SFP Support contributes to the overall success of SFP by driving service excellence, enhancing operational resiliency, ensuring strong business controls, and by deepening partnerships across Global Wealth Management (GWM), HR, Technology, field leadership, and other key stakeholders.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Lead and oversee SFP Support team, ensuring all support activities are completed accurately within set SLAs including onboarding of new hires, procurement of tech equipment, inventory management, coordination and collaboration with IT support and HR, expense reconciliation, offboarding of departed Financial Planners and retrieval of equipment, invoice processing, and resolving support escalations
  • Review and evaluate current support processes to identify opportunities for enhancement and/or addition of controls
  • Provide recommendations and implement changes to streamline manual/repetitive process components
  • Review and revise existing process documentation where required to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity within the team

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree or college diploma
  • People leadership experience including leading teams and managing operational functions
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a retail branch or operations environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience with or working knowledge of Salesforce is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • A proven track record of meeting deliverables
  • The ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders
