Purpose

The Senior Manager, Global Insurance Finance FP&A Consolidation and Business Line Support is responsible for the consolidation of the forecasts, financial plan, and Management Reporting for Global Insurance. The Senior Manager is also responsible for providing business and value-added analytical support to Global Insurance business lines and senior management to facilitate the achievement of the business objectives as a Finance function. 

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Play a key role in the consolidation and preparation of Global Insurance 5-year financial and strategic plan and forecasts, including presentations to Business Leaders and Executive Management. Build strong relationships and interact with stakeholders across the FP&A process, including Insurance FP&A teams, business teams, actuarial teams, etc. to ensure deadlines are met and forecast and planning information are accurate

 

  • Strategic Partner to Business Line – Provide ongoing support, financial analysis, advice and counsel to business line management to ensure successful implementation of Global Insurance business initiatives. Activities include review and financial assessment of business cases, leading finance workstreams of projects, etc.

 

  • Financial Analysis – Analyze financial results to identify/resolve issues, and provide commentary related to the actual results and/or forecasts.

 

  • Management Reporting and Process Improvement – Work collaboratively with other stakeholders on the continuing improvement and implementation of processes, analyses, reports and insights of the Global Insurance Finance team by challenging the status quo and bringing best practices. Play a lead role in the ongoing improvement of the Global Insurance Finance function by setting up and/or owning new processes.

 

  • Ad Hoc Requests - Support ad hoc requests from Executive Management, auditors, regulators, ratings agencies, and other external parties as required. Prepare and provide analytical support including analysis related to business line, product or geographic profitability by working with other Finance and Business Support teams.

 

  • Team Environment - Contribute to an environment in which the team works together to produce creative and value-added strategic analysis while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
