GWMT team is seeking a Technical ETL Solution Engineer with expertise in various ETL and file transfer design, development and support.
Candidate will be part of the team, which is responsible for File Transfers, Data sourcing, transformation, Integration, Quality and Availability for Global Wealth Technology area. The team serves the customers of Asset Management and Wealth business lines which includes but not limited to 1832 Asset Management, Dynamic, IDH, JFL, MD, SM, PIC. The team is known for its agile delivery and prompt support of many critical client facing and back-office applications.

- You can Build ETL and technical solution(s) using various techniques and methodologies with Talend, AutoSys, Python, Java and shell scripts which is compliant with bank’s standards and practices.
- You have excellent communication skills and can articulate technical material in a simple manner to the business partners and implement that using the technology
- You can challenge the Status Quo, Solve the problems and provide creative solution in timely manner.
- Develop ETL solutions and build packages based on existing standards and suggest improvements when possible
- Support 24/7 operations as needed
- Leading development efforts in ingesting and transforming data from various sources. Building scripts as per given specifications and responsible for end to end delivery of data & files
- Develop and test code from design specifications, as well as implement and support enhancements to applications
- Provide technical expertise in medium to complex projects as a solution expert and capable of providing guidance and advise to the team
- Depict technical flow into diagrams and build documents i.e. runbook, support procedures, SOP as needed.
- Works in close collaboration with various technology and business partners.
- Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
- Act as a team player, work with already established mature team members, adapt to team norms, culture and dynamic.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
Must Have Skills:
- 3+ years’ IT industry experience with ETL tools like Talend, DataStage, Informatica etc.
- 3+ years’ experience with relational databases i.e. Oracle with a good knowledge of Store Procedure, Schema, Views, Database principles and design theories.
- Hands-on experience with data integration, development and scheduling using one or more tool and technologies like Shell scripting, Python, Java, AutoSys, Tidal, CronTab, Visual Cron etc.
- Hands-on experience with Unix, Linux and Windows platforms.
- Hands on experience with MS Office Suite i.e., MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Soft Skills:
- Must be Curious, Open minded, willing to learn and question the status quo as required
- Strong Communication skills (Verbal and Written) in English
- Understand the Business requirements and translate it into technical solution.
- Articulation skills to convey the message across to various stakeholders.
- Think big picture instead of tunnel vision for the initiatives you are working on.
- Document the solution using diagrams, support document, SOP, TDD etc.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Exposure to wealth products
- Wealth/Asset Management/financial industry exposure
- Code versioning tool like Bitbucket, GitHub and DevOps pipeline.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Service Now
- Familiarity with Agile, Kanban methodology and Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Familiar with Cloud technologies like GCP or Azure.
