The Sr Technical Analyst participates in the definition of requirements, development, testing, implementation and sucessful introduction of all business line and operational projects, and initiatives related to Wealth Management applications. In addition, they provide leadership in feasiblity studies, department strategies and requirements definition to meet the needs of the client.

- Application Analysis and Design
Responsible to participate in requirement analysis, design and deployment of sustainable applications leveraging best practices. - Technical Implementation
Liaise with Project Teams and the client regarding the strategy and directions on specific applications and the implementation of projects and enhancements. - Application Support
On a project and enhancement basis, perform reviews in order to ensure that the applications deployed will fulfill the business requirements and assist in ongoing support. - Client Communications
- Act as a key contact to the client communities in all aspects of support and project work.
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Liaise with vendors in the management of third party software integration.

- Contribute to the delivery of effective technological solutions and applications to meet Wealth Management business needs and priorities, participating in the on-time delivery of projects by:
- validating all departments involved in a project with the Dev Lead or Project Manager;
- validating the project scope and charter with the Dev Lead or Project Manager
- validating the high-level roles and responsibilities associated with a project with the Dev Lead or Project Manager.
- Work with the Business Clients to interpret and negotiate business requirements for system development projects. Validate the requirement content with the Dev group to ensure it is sufficient to proceed to Functional Specification phase and facilitate requirement signoff.
- Build Functional Specification Documentation (EDD) and all other required documentation e.g. workflow design, storyboards, activity diagrams / matrices, data mapping and data validation and work with the Dev Lead / Project Manager to finalize the documentation.
- Validate the EDD with all stake holders, including the Dev group, making updates as required and coordinate the signoff from all stakeholders.
- Assist the Dev Lead / Project Manager in providing high level estimates, time lines and schedules for projects. Assist the Dev Lead with estimates for Tech BA resource time on projects.
- Support the development of test cases and test scripts and assist in creating and retrieving required test data. Review business design documents to ensure that they are accurately reflected in test cases. Support business partners with testing in UAT, as required. Maintain and track PLOGs, as needed.
- Assist the Dev Lead in the creation and maintenance of SLAs with all partners, as required e.g. Infrastructure, Third Party Vendors, and business partners.
- Assist the Dev Lead in defining the business implementation approach, working with the business client e.g. create Business Implementation strategy.
- Assist Dev Lead in the creation of transition plans for production. Provide support to transition teams, as required.
- Provide post implementation support and training to staff on production processing functionality and assist in creating internal operation support manuals. Create support strategies and assist in post implementation shakedown testing, as required.
- Provide Release Management support and facilitation on all assigned projects and applications, in all environments, ensuring all releases are delivered efficiently and without defect. Act as a liaison with other departments to create the release checklist, as required.
- Provide overnight and weekend support for project implementations and releases. Pager support may be required.
- Support in defining, planning and maintaining a strategy for the architecture, development and implementation of technology, systems and provide effective technical consulting and support services to the client and project teams.
- Assist the Dev Lead in the direction, guidance and coordination of staff activities related to project work. Provide technical expertise, guidance, advice and knowledge transfer to staff on all aspects of application support for assigned applications or technology.
- Maintain a good understanding of the Division's business strategies, business policies, financial instruments, risk management and back office processing.
- Assist Wealth Management business partners, including other IT teams, in the prioritization of project and support work
- Develop cost effective ideas to meet business objectives by analysing user requirements, providing detailed technical designs. Investigate and recommend new technologies, develop and deliver prototypes and applications using rapid application development methodology.
