The Specialist, Retail Learning Programs, is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the retail learning programs and changes across all delivery modalities including but not limited to: virtual classes, face to face classes, eLearning, simulations, learner activity guides, in-branch coach and job shadow guides.  The Specialist will work with the Senior Manager, internal & external partners and business stakeholders to implement identified changes

 

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of retail learning programs that support a customer focused culture across the Canadian Branch Banking network
  • Manages all maintenance requests through Workfront and provides monthly reports to the Senior Manager
  • Coordinates with the Learning COE and Learning Management System teams with the implementation of all complex and large content changes to the existing content in accordance with established guidelines & standards, where applicable and based on the extent of the changes.
  • Provides ongoing support and collaborates with partners in the retail network, product and technology groups to obtain content information when required
  • Prepares power point presentations for meetings when required
  • Assesses impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs across all learning programs when managing and making changes to the master content library of all 1000+ retail learning assets taking the different modalities into consideration
  • Creates communication and evaluation plans for learning programs and assists in the implementation across retail network when required
  • Supports the Senior Managers, Onboarding and Learning Delivery in resolving issues in regards to content that impacts the delivery teams
  • Manages the learning program pages on Scotiabank Live, including day-to-day maintenance, documents upload and working with the respective COE where required.
  • Supports learners requests received via email inboxes  
  • Raises awareness of leading trends and learning best practices to enhance the learner’s experience
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

 

Education / Experience Required:

  • Previous banking experience is a strong asset
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business,HR or Learning 
  • Understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
