Purpose:
We are seeking a committed and dynamic individual to join our Client Administration Department located in downtown Toronto. The Client Administration team provides back-office support to our Dynamic Funds’ clients.
The role of Specialist within Client Administration is to acquire an in-depth knowledge of our systems and processes to be able to generate reports, analyze data, answer questions regarding our procedures which may come from other departments, work on special projects including testing new product launches, tools, and documenting new procedures. the Specialist works as part of the team to complete daily tasks as well as independently when asked to work on ad-hoc tasks or projects
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Accurate Processing of financial & non-financial mutual fund transactions
• Quality control of team tasks as required
• Generate, review and action data integrity reports
• Respond to escalated issues and provide appropriate resolution and knowledge through effective communication
• Meet individual, team, and department Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Investigate and track system issues and develop workarounds/solutions
• Work with Leadership Team to define and enhance procedures
• Work with Leadership Team to update Policies and Procedures
• Work with Assistant Manager to ensure all team members are fully cross-trained
• Work with team to provide proactive solutions to problems and potential issues
• Improve service levels by continually reviewing processes/procedures and identifying opportunities for enhancement
• Participate in special projects/assignments; perform other duties as required.
• Provide solutions to escalated team issues
• Develop new procedures to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the department
• Assist team members in managing problem resolutions
• Provide guidance in addressing issues in the most efficient manner
• Report regularly to AM on the status of productivity, volume and accuracy
• Perform all other duties and special projects as may be assigned
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:
• Completed post-secondary education
• Canadian Investment Funds Course is an asset
• Experience in Transfer Agency and Back Office Operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access
• Knowledge of the iFAST and AWD systems considered an asset
• Understanding of Mutual Funds products and Operations
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to meet and maintain specified minimum productivity and quality standards
• Knowledge of regulated products such as RESPs, Estates, Locked in Plans, Pensions, TFSAs, RRIFs, etc.
• Familiarity with regulatory websites and ability to locate information as needed.
