Scotiabank’s GIAM Logical Access Control Team is responsible in the management, operations and provisioning of Users and Applications to the Bank’s Business Lines, subsidiaries and affiliates while securing Bank’s Security Policies and Best Practices.
The Role:
The Specialist provides day-to-day IAMO operational support in accordance with the Bank's Information Security Standards. In this role, you will maintain productivity, management controls, system integrity and security while providing assistance to other team members as required. You will also be responsible for reporting internal control statuses to management with recommendations for remediation of risks and provide input to improve IAMO Logical Access Control processes and procedures.
What You’ll Do:

- You are a highly skilled IT professional with over 2 years of Mainframe operational experience, mainly with IBM Mainframe Z/OS.
- You have experience supporting ID Provisioning for MVS, Tandem, AS400, etc.
- You want to Participate in auditor examinations and walkthroughs of internal control design and operating effectiveness of GIAM owned processes.
- You thrive in solutioning for multiple security domains (Security Management, Security Engineering, Identity and Access Management, etc.).
- You are passionate in new technologies and enjoy the challenges of enforcing access management security controls to protect them.
- Working on different types of projects (from large complex to simple) is a part of your DNA.
- You love to collaborate with various business lines, IT support functions and IS&C Control functions.
What You'll Bring:

- You have Ability to lead through influence, excellence and example is essential to success.
- You have at least 2 years of hands-on technical working Mainframe operational experience, mainly with IBM Mainframe Z/OS.
- You have at least 2 years of hands-on technical working Mainframe operational experience, mainly with Tandem (HP Non-Stop) Platform.
- You have strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to present confidently to senior executives, attention to detail and strong planning and management ability.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or in a related field.
- Security Certification(s) would be an asset.
Working Conditions
Work in standard office-based environments located in Scarborough and Downtown Toronto; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. No external travel required.
