The Solutions Architect – MarTech & Personalization is a technical leadership role within the Personalization domain of Canadian Banking Engineering, responsible for enabling enterprise-scale personalized customer experiences across digital and offline channels.  

This role leads solution architecture and integration efforts across a diverse and evolving MarTech and Personalization ecosystem, partnering with key technology vendors and internal platforms that support Go-To-Market (GTM), marketing enablement, customer engagement, loyalty, and personalization use cases.  

Operating within a highly regulated enterprise environment, the architect ensures solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards, while supporting the evolution of real-time and AI-assisted personalization capabilities. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:  

 

  • Lead cross-functional solution architecture and integration design for personalization initiatives across marketing, sales, digital banking, and service channels  
  • Translate personalization and GTM use cases into clear end-to-end technical designs across multiple platforms and internal systems  
  • Define and apply architecture patterns, integration standards, and solution guardrails across the MarTech and Personalization landscape  
  • Design solutions that integrate customer data, events, profiles, journeys, and decision signals while meeting enterprise risk, privacy, and compliance requirements  
  • Act as a technical bridge between marketing technology platforms, customer decisioning capabilities, enterprise data services, and delivery engineering teams  
  • Support delivery teams through architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and complex integration analysis  
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps, target-state architectures and vendor evaluations 
  • Supporting the evolution of personalization capabilities, influence platform usage and integration approaches to improve scalability, observability, and reuse 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: 

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology roles within medium to large enterprise environments  
  • 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, integration architecture, or equivalent hands-on design roles  
  • Practical experience working with MarTech, Digital, or Customer Engagement platforms (e.g., CDPs, journey orchestration platforms, personalization or decisioning engines, loyalty systems)  
  • Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end solutions within established enterprise architecture standards 
  • Relevant architecture or platform certifications are an asset (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce, Pega, Google, or equivalent)  
  • Strong working knowledge of API-based integration, event-driven patterns, and batch vs near-real-time data flows  
  • Experience integrating marketing or GTM platforms with enterprise data, analytics, and downstream operational systems  
  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs related to latency, scalability, risk, and operability  
  • Strong understanding of personalization concepts including customer profiles, events, journeys, segmentation, eligibility, and activation  
  • Experience supporting Go-To-Market (GTM) or marketing enablement initiatives in partnership with engineering teams  
  • Ability to translate business and marketing requirements into actionable technical solutions  
  • Exposure to or practical experience with real-time and AI-assisted personalization or decisioning patterns  
  • Ability to assess emerging capabilities with an enterprise mindset, considering data readiness, governance, and regulatory constraints  
  • Experience working in regulated or control-heavy environments (financial services experience preferred)  
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business, data, marketing, and engineering  
  • Demonstrated ability to influence design decisions through collaboration and technical credibility
