Join our Investment Platform Team to develop innovative solutions and deliver top-tier business support. We seek an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and deployment of scalable, resilient investment platform solutions. The ideal candidate excels in collaborating across technology and business teams and focuses on enhancing customer experiences through advanced technology.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Solution Architecture & Platform Design

• Define scalable, resilient, and extensible solution designs that support high‑volume, mission‑critical Investment Platform workloads.

• Translate business strategy and product objectives into target‑state architectures, solution blueprints, and well‑defined transition roadmaps.

• Design and evaluate architectural options, patterns, and trade‑offs, and provide clear, defensible recommendations to Product Owners and business sponsors.

• Lead the end‑to‑end solution architecture when assigned as the Primary Architect for an Investment Platform project or initiative.  When acting as the Investment Platform Supporting Architect, provide architectural guidance for Investment Platform applications involved in broader initiatives.  Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security controls, regulatory requirements, and the Investment Platform domain roadmap.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of Investment Platform roadmaps in collaboration with Senior Architects, application owners, and business stakeholders, including considerations for technical debt containment, modernization, and cloud readiness.

Technical Leadership & Advisory

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to delivery teams, providing ongoing architectural guidance across design, build, test, and deployment phases.

• Review solution designs and key implementation decisions to ensure adherence to non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, resiliency, availability).

• Partner with engineering and platform teams to guide design decisions, rather than owning day‑to‑day coding or testing activities.

• Contribute to estimation and planning discussions from an architectural complexity and risk perspective.

Governance, Risk & Operational Readiness

• Ensure solutions meet SLA, resiliency, and operational readiness requirements, including production support and lifecycle management considerations.

• Provide architectural escalation support for complex production issues and systemic platform risks.

• Support architecture governance processes by producing decision artifacts, design reviews, and risk assessments as required.

Industry & Domain Expertise

• Apply strong financial services and investment domain knowledge to shape platform decisions, data flows, integration patterns, and regulatory compliance.

• Understand upstream and downstream dependencies across trading, servicing, reporting, data, and external integrations within the Investment Platform ecosystem.

Collaboration & Influence

• Work closely with Senior and Lead Architects, Chief Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering Leads, Platform teams, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business outcomes.

• Provide architectural mentorship and guidance to delivery teams, fostering architectural discipline and quality thinking across initiatives.

• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by promoting sound design principles, pragmatic architectural patterns, and shared architectural ownership.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of software engineering industry experience
• 3+ years architecture experience in creating and managing enterprise architectures and solutions
• Experience in the financial industry with Java, Pega and host development experience.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and is capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives.      
• Innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutions; ability to convey and promote these ideas.
• Experience with structured Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
• Experience in managing multiple complex and parallel projects with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicting priorities
• Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global based systems. Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.
• Experience in modernizing legacy systems or similar transformational initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build and foster relationships with business partners, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals.
