The Role

As a Software Developer within Global Wholesale Operations Technology, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions supporting wholesale banking processes. The role balances hands-on engineering with growing ownership of delivery outcomes and collaboration with senior engineers and managers.

• Design, develop, and maintain application features and services
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions
• Support application testing, deployment, and production support
• Learn and apply secure coding and engineering best practices

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 1-2 years of hands-on software development experience, including internships or academic projects
• Highly skilled in Java with extensive experience using frameworks including Spring Boot and Hibernate, as well as expertise in the Java Streams API, and in developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services.
• Familiarity with modern programming languages or frameworks (such as JavaScript, Java, or Python) and version control tools like Git
• Hands-on experience with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, plus basic shell scripting in Linux environments.
• Familiar with Docker, CI/CD pipelines
