As a Senior Technology Lead within the Data & AI Technology team, you will play a critical leadership role in designing, building, and scaling enterprise grade data platforms. You will provide technical leadership across large, complex initiatives, with a strong focus on Azure, Databricks, and modern data engineering technologies. This role partners closely with architects, product owners, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high performing data solutions that drive business outcomes.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Provide technical leadership and hands‑on guidance across end‑to‑end data and analytics solutions built on Azure and Databricks
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical workloads
  • Act as a technical authority for data engineering best practices, performance optimization, security, and reliability
  • Drive delivery across large, multi‑year, enterprise programs, ensuring solutions align with architectural standards and strategic roadmaps
  • Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and technical decision‑making
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, platform, security, and risk teams to ensure solutions meet governance, compliance, and resiliency standards
  • Support platform modernization, cloud migration, and legacy technology decommissioning initiatives
  • Influence and continuously improve engineering standards, reusable patterns, and shared capabilities across the Data & AI ecosystem

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks, including Spark (PySpark/Scala), Delta Lake, and performance tuning
  • Deep experience with Azure data services such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Event Hubs, or equivalent technologies
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data quality frameworks
  • Proven experience working on large-scale, complex enterprise projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong controls around security, privacy, and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technically while remaining delivery‑focused and outcome‑oriented
  • Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms, feature stores, or advanced analytics workloads
  • Experience with cloud migration programs, platform modernization, or data platform decommissioning
  • Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps practices and tooling
