As the Senior Digital Product Manager, Wealth Financial Planning, you will contribute to the overall success of the Digital Wealth roadmap and drive a dedicated backlog with partners in Digital Product Design, Transformation, and Engineering.  You will oversee the planning and implementation of a financial planning solution tailored to multiple client groups both internal and external, with particular focus on user experience and interface. You will be responsible to partner with our Wealth Portfolio partners on vendor engagement, interpreting product requirements, and bridging into wealth technology. This role ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Agile product management to prioritize effectively and manage inter-dependencies across key scrum teams 
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Prioritize and manage a dedicated backlog with partners in Digital Product Design, Transformation, and Engineering, at Scotia Digital
  • Partner closely with Product Design and vendor to ensure a user experience across client segments that is logical, engaging, and accessible
  • Drive back end strategies with business partners in retail to ensure customer experience requirements are met
  • Ensure the effective incorporation of Analytics strategies into working agreements (e.g. Definition of Done) and into the broader roadmap
  • Plan for and consider reusability of Canada components in other markets across the Bank’s International footprint
  • This will be a Technical Product leadership role
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Digital Product Management using agile practices
  • Education in Computer Science or related Technical Field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills an asset
  • Strong technical competency an asset
  • Financial services experience an asset

Work arrangements: Fully remote / Hybrid

  • The way we work is changing. This is a fully remote role, where you’ll be working exclusively from the comfort of your own home. While we’re hiring for all shifts, we’re flexible and will try our best to accommodate your preferred shift.
  • The role is currently virtual but will eventually be based in our offices as requirements change, with optional partial virtual work.
