Purpose of Job
The Senior Analyst, Global Portfolio Insights and Analytics, contributes to the overall success of the Global Portfolio Insights and Analytics team within Global Investment Solutions (GIS) by supporting defined team goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with broader GIS mandates and objectives. Reporting to the Director, Global Portfolio Insights and Analytics (GPIA), the role supports scalable proposal delivery, investment data management, reporting, and analytics capabilities for domestic and international wealth channels, while ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
This role supports the core GPIA service offering by preparing, maintaining, and quality-checking standardized proposal and managed program collateral, supporting data management practices, and delivering consistent, high-quality outputs aligned to business priorities and client needs.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Proposal Delivery and Investment Data Management
- Support the day-to-day delivery of the proposal service offering, including workflow coordination, preparation support, quality review, and execution support for investment proposals, external account reviews, and related client-facing content across wealth channels.
- Maintain proposal templates, content requirements, quality controls, disclosure standards, and governance routines to improve consistency, scalability, turnaround times, and alignment with branding and regulatory expectations.
- Support the investment data management function by sourcing, collecting, validating, maintaining, and updating data from internal and external sources to support deliverables, including proposals, reporting, analytics, dashboards, platform collateral, and uploads to relevant portfolio management and reporting systems.
- Apply data quality standards, controls, and reconciliation practices to support the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of holdings, benchmarks, performance, and related proposal inputs.
Reporting, Tools and Platform Support for domestic and international wealth distribution channels
- Support the creation and maintenance of reports and tools used by SJF, ScotiaMcLeod, MD Financial, and International Wealth Advisors and Relationship Managers.
- Update monthly and quarterly investment performance and risk metric reports for UHNW clients using analytics platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct.
- Regularly update the SJF approved securities list to reflect changes in all segregated models within the SJF investment platform.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Contribute to effective and efficient operations by following established business controls and procedures to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Contribute to the positive reputation and effective functioning of the Global Portfolio Insights and Analytics team by:
- Staying informed on capital markets and industry developments.

- Providing thorough, thoughtful, and accurate responses to client inquiries, with appropriate follow-through on resolutions.

- Actively sharing knowledge and experience to support team development.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:
- Over 3 years of investment-related experience with an understanding of financial markets and portfolio management theory
- Experience working effectively with Advisors, Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers.
- Understanding of investment data, performance and reporting methodologies, proposal content requirements, and the controls needed to support high-quality client and business outputs.
- Undergraduate degree required in business, finance, economics is preferred.
- Experience with platforms and productivity tools such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Power BI, Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, communication, relationship management, and collaboration skills are required.
- CFA, CAIA, CIM, CIMA, CSC, CPH, or progress toward a relevant investment industry designation is preferred.
