Our Tangerine team manages the technology & computer infrastructure that drives Tangerine’s business systems.


Reporting to the Manager, Network Security & Systems, you are a key member of the Network and Delivery Services Team to support on prem and cloud hybrid environments. In addition, you are responsible for network & endpoint security administration, monitoring, ongoing security analysis and troubleshooting consistent with service delivery requirements.


We are currently working in the office 2 days a week and looking to extend to 4 days in the future. As a subsidiary of Bank of Scotia, you are require to work in the BNS office at Scarborough as well as Tangerine office in North York.


In this role, you will need flexibility to work either 1 of 2 daily shifts (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Also, you will be expected to provide rotational 24x7, on-call support.

 


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• You are eager to deploy, configure, administer, and maintain network & endpoint security solutions.
• You excel at monitoring and assessing security compliance through regular reviews of technical specifications, configurations, logs, scripts, etc...; and, as well, conduct regular security checks on connections (internal/ external) and systems to identify vulnerabilities.
• You can work in a highly complex environment and have outstanding troubleshooting skills.
• You are keen in reviewing operation logs and event console activity to identify potential security-related events, determine cause of such events, and recommend respective counter measures.
• You thrive at configuring and maintaining security solutions for on-prem, hybrid and cloud.
• You take pride in providing support for a high available production environment that has an uptime of 24x7x365.

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• You possess very good communication (verbal/written) skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences & properly document.  Furthermore, you also have good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
• You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with deploying/configuring/administering/updating/monitoring of a large scale, mission critical enterprise security infrastructure. Performing this work in the financial services industry is an asset.
• You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with deploying/configuring/administering/updating/monitoring Next Gen Firewalls (NGFW).
• You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with deploying/configuring/administering/updating/monitoring Intrusion Prevention System (IPS).
• You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with deploying/configuring/administering/updating/monitoring Web Proxy.
• You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience/knowledge in securing SaaS applications.
• You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Transport Layer Security (TLS), Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), Endpoint Detection and Response Solutions (EDR).
• You can demonstrate very good technical knowledge of Windows servers/MacOS/Linux; & all network layers, routing, switching and related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, SSL, SFTP, FTP, SSH, TELNET, DNS, DHCP, SNMP).
• You possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to problem-solve complex technical issues.
• You can demonstrate a good understanding on defining policies, access control, logging management and network monitoring.
• You can adapt to working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• You must have attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related technology-based stream.
