The Role

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting & Control Infrastructure, leads initiatives to enhance trade reporting infrastructure, manages delivery of regulatory requirements, and ensures the BAU team is fully prepared for changes implemented by project teams. This role is accountable for operational readiness, successful transition to BAU, and continuous improvement of controls and processes.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Develop and manage project plans, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables to ensure operational readiness for regulatory reporting changes and seamless transition to BAU.
  • Lead stakeholder discussions and decision-making on regulatory trade reporting matters impacting BAU controls and metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to senior executives and regulatory steering committees on operational readiness and project progress.
  • Oversee the implementation of regulatory changes, including planning, control and metrics development, testing, and smooth handover to BAU.
  • Ensure timely completion of audit, monitoring, and testing deliverables assigned to the project team.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, training materials, and testing artefacts for project closure.
  • Track and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID log), ensuring project issues and backlog are prioritized and managed by BAU in accordance with procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in trade reporting controls, metrics, and processes, staying current with industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (GWO, RBI, GBMO, Technology, Compliance) to ensure regulatory obligations are met globally and best practices are leveraged.
  • Deepen your/BAU team knowledge of derivatives product trade life cycle and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., CFTC, SEC, OSC, EMIR, CIRO, MiFID II, SFTR).
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk frameworks, including responsibilities under relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Build and foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture; coach and mentor direct reports, support succession and development planning, and promote organizational values and diversity.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (MiFID II, CIRO, SFTR, DFA, OSC, EMIR, MAS, HKMA, ASIC).
  • Proven experience managing regulatory change initiatives and operational readiness.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced, demanding environments.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Derivatives trade booking or trade reporting platforms and data analytics tools
  • Formal change management training/certification preferred.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., PMP, FRM) are an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate, influence and interact professionally with a diverse group of Front Office Users, QAs, Developers, and SMEs
