POSITION TITLE:

Senior Manager Development –Wealth Management

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director Application Development – Wealth Management, the Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing value creation of multiple teams with a focus on successful technology delivery.

 

The Senior Manager will ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.  The Senior Manager works closely and coordinates with various technology groups to support and deliver solutions in alignment with business and technology strategies.

 

Senior Manager provides leadership for CRM software delivery portfolio primarily focused on Salesforce.com for various Wealth Management business lines.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leads and drives a client focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Manages systems analysis, development, implementation, and support of innovative solutions using existing and new technology for the Bank.
  • Ensure the timely development and implementation of multiple applications and IT solutions – involving multiple systems, multiple dependencies and multiple stakeholders/business partners – where solutions cross business lines and customer segments.
  • Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of the respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Meet obligations with respect to operational risk regulatory compliance, AML/ATF risk including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines of Business Conduct.
  • Communicate vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Requires advanced understanding of complex, leading edge technology and how this can be used to support business processes.
  • Deep understanding of systems knowledge (existing systems and new technologies).
  • Comprehensive business knowledge, understanding of vision and financial objectives.
  • Understanding of how business functions and core processes interact and the strategic importance of projects and how they relate to goals and impact.
  • Process knowledge in relation to scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management/systems, design/change management and release management.
  • Project Management (throughout the project life cycle).
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal/presentation) skills.
  • Proven IT experience with deep expertise in both the strategy and business needs of banking as well as technology.
  • A proven track record in people management.
  • Able to make daily trade-off recommendations to deliver products quickly against investing time and efforts in technological upgrades/competitive positioning.
  • Able to innovatively utilize emerging technologies to leverage existing and new business opportunities.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
