Purpose

 


Provides support for AML Threat Monitoring data platform projects ensuring plans and deliverables are compliant with internal risk management policies and procedures.  Creates and manages governance related documentation for data pipelines and products.  Assists platform and project manager ensuring roadblocks are removed and project delivers as per scope and assigned timeline.

 

 

Accountabilities 

 

 

•    Understanding detailed governance requirements, plans, and deliverables and be able to identify effective approach. Ensuring solutions evolve through collaboration between cross-functional teams. 

•    Assist in the development and support of the team’s data platform projects

•    Ensure project documentation is accurate, timely and meets all governance requirements

•    Develop reporting process with defined KPIs for data management, quality and availability

•    Partners with analytics and technology teams to drive deeper understanding of business, impact of regulations and required changes.  

•    Responsible for defining success metrics & developing dashboards, as required.

•    Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement to team.

•    Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

 

 

Education / Experience

 

 

•    Excellent strategic influencing and relationship building skills
•    Deep knowledge of the Canadian banking financial services 
•    Strong analytics capability with proven experience in leveraging data insights 
•    Strong performance orientation with a mind for efficiency and a strong sense of urgency
•    Strong communication skills and able to communicate complex information to various audiences
•    Proven ability to advise senior executives and adapt to business needs
•    Knowledge of AML is an asset
