The Senior Manager, AML Design Authority and Orchestration, FCRM Governance Planning Office, will support the Director, Design Authority and Orchestration with stakeholder engagement and coordination across the AML Risk footprint to ensure effective and timely implementation AML Target Operating Model, and execution of key program operational responsibilities.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Enterprise AML Risk program strategy by coordinating with key Enterprise stakeholders on remediation and transformation efforts. As part of this role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for assisting with leading, reporting and communication of AML implementation initiatives across the Enterprise. The role will require frequent communication with key stakeholders, AML Risk Strategy & Change Management, and AML Program Risk Management to help drive a consistently high standard of engagement across all aspects of the AML Risk program.  


Key Accountabilities:

  • Leads and supports a customer focused culture to deepen broader Bank relationships and leverage, systems and knowledge.
  • Execute the established framework and standards that govern and accelerate our global initiatives, and support optimization, financial accountability and execution success across the delivery value chain, including aligning portfolio to enterprise delivery framework. 
  • Assist Director Design Authority with governance and oversight of the end-to-end project portfolio for Transformation and Remediation to deliver successful outcomes, including leading governance process development and management of specific risk-related committee activities
  • Leads TOM orchestration roadmap, by convening regular sessions with key stakeholders, contributing to the development and execution of the overall TOM delivery roadmap, and recommending roadmap priorities throughout the project life cycle. Interact closely with all value stream leads to support the timely delivery of their TOM-related work streams.
  • Identify and support program level communication and change management in partnership with the Director Transformational Change & Engagement, to facilitate increased alignment across the Enterprise AML Transformation and Remediation leadership team.  Coordinate regular strategic updates, communications, and presentations as necessary to keep all levels of management informed of key initiatives, risks, issues, and changes to the regulatory landscape.
  • Identifies the internal and the external risks of the program; takes ownership by recommending activities to mitigate those risks through understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Contribute to environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. 
  • Build strong partnerships with First Line, Internal Audit, Technology, Data Governance Office, and other key stakeholders in connection with the GBM AML/ATF Program, and work collaboratively across functional teams to resolve open issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Sustain a high-performance environment with a focus on individual accountability and strong inter-group collaboration across all teams, reinforcing mutual respect


  • Extensive experience with change management and influencing stakeholders
  • Deep analytical, project management and executive communication experience (strong professional writing and PPT presentation skills)
  • Experience and technical know-how of risk management procedures, processes, and tools
  • AML experience and technical know-how are an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to help others organize problem solving
  • Proven ability to operate independently and take initiative in supporting a program strategy.
  • Proven excellence in execution of complex and demanding tasks under strict time pressures.
  • Solid judgment, strong negotiating skills, and a practical approach to implementation – including knowledge of Bank systems.
  • Ability to balance regulatory requirements with the best interests of the Bank and its customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, finance, or similar field. Advanced degrees or professional banking licenses/ designations preferred
