Purpose
Contribute to the overall success of Total Wealth growth initiatives and programs across Scotia Wealth Management, with a focus on advisor resources and business development tools. This includes collaborating with key partners across Global Wealth Solutions, Practice Excellence, Marketing and Communications to develop and implement effective client-facing insights, presentations and prospecting materials to support advisor business plans. The Senior Manager, Total Wealth Programs will report to the Director, Specialized Programs and is a key member of the Practice Excellence team.
The Practice Excellence team provides training, practice management and analytical solutions that are aligned to Scotia Wealth Management’s strategic priorities and is focused on enabling our in-field advisory teams and leaders to effectively run and grow Total Wealth businesses at every stage of the employee life cycle.
Accountabilities
- Scale Total Wealth enablers through effective advisor resources:
- Leverage and scale national program resources into effective sales tools that can be delivered by regional sales teams or individual advisor teams to scale Total Wealth Program insights and expertise to client engagements and prospecting events
- Lead the business and marketing writing process to create effective and engaging content for advisor business development, client education, prospecting campaigns and new thought leadership insights for Total Wealth Programs through targeted client segments
- Lead and manage the design of advisor resources to ensure high quality brand standards are implemented across all Total Wealth Programs
- Build end-to-end sales campaigns that drive the adoption of Total Wealth across advisory businesses leveraging programs, practice management, and marketing resources
- Collaborate with marketing partners to effectively distribute and promote Total Wealth resources in support of advisor business plans and growth strategies including through Aging clients, Women clients, Business Owner clients and Next Generation clients
- Collaborate with internal communication teams to drive awareness and adoption of new and existing Total Wealth Program resources
- Facilitate and share Total Wealth best practices nationally in large, medium and small groups virtually and in-person
- Collaborate and design new business development initiatives and resources with leaders and advisors to support Canadian Wealth Management client growth initiatives
- Contribute to the success of Total Wealth Programs by aligning advisor resources with Practice Excellence and Global Wealth Solutions best practices and tools
- Lead internal and external partnerships to support Total Wealth Program growth:
- Manage and build strategic relationships with internal and external strategic relationships to ensure successful business outcomes and alignment with Scotia Wealth Management’s growth strategy
- Lead and manage the consistent communication and distribution of Total Wealth Program resources to internal partners through effective channels including newsletters, presentations, town halls, etc.
- Consult with in-field leaders, advisors, relationship managers and partners to ensure materials are designed to meet the evolving needs of current and future clients
- Develop strong in-field relationships by consulting with advisors, relationship managers and in-field leadership to create a central hub of sales best practices that can be implemented across national markets
- Collaborate with marketing, communications and other key stakeholders to ensure cohesive strategic messaging and brand consistency
- Incorporate current and innovative digital sales strategies and tactics into Total Wealth programs and initiatives including advisor training, client events and partnership content
- Cultivate and share effective sales practice across markets and sales platforms and mediums including social media, video, websites, etc.
- Work closely with the Total Wealth Transformation team to develop strategic initiatives to support business growth strategy:
- Contribute to the annual strategic business planning process to ensure Total Wealth Programs and campaigns align with the overarching Scotia Wealth Management goals to deliver more Total Wealth to existing clients; grow through prospective clients; and enable growth through all-Bank partnerships
- Continually measure and report the effectiveness of strategic initiatives to ensure investment in sales campaigns are creating value for advisors, relationship managers and clients
- Create strategic reporting dashboards, presentations and communications to support executive communications on the effectiveness of program content and training
- Thoughtfully manage sales campaigns to drive scale and effectiveness across all programs
- Champion a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

Education / Experience / Other Information
- University degree or equivalent
- Deep understanding of Wealth Management industry
- 5 - 7+ years of experience in brokerage advice industry, sales and marketing experience
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
- Strong experience in marketing and sales communications, digital tools and social platforms
- Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Understanding of Client mindset via the Wealth Advisor lens
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other design platforms
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in digital marketing and social media platforms
