The Role
As Senior Manager, Strategy & Change (Systems Function), you will lead the strategy and change agenda within the utility. You’ll set direction, translate strategy into executable roadmaps, and ensure change initiatives are delivered effectively while balancing risk, controls, and operational excellence.
This role combines high‑touch strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, partnering closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to modernize operations and enable technology transformation.

- Lead and develop a high‑performing strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
- Develop clear, insight‑driven strategies, executive‑ready briefs, and practical roadmaps that support business priorities
- Translate change initiatives into detailed business requirements and coordinate testing and quality assurance with internal and external partners
- Analyze complex business problems by documenting current and future state processes, conducting gap analysis, and recommending solutions
- Drive the utility’s modernization and technology transformation agenda through research, analysis, and compelling strategic recommendations
- Provide strategic advisory support to senior management across key initiatives and project workstreams
- Act as a liaison across the broader project portfolio to ensure requirements, dependencies, and impacts are clearly understood and integrated (time, cost, scope, and people)
- Review out‑of‑mandate or non‑core activities and recommend actions to streamline, eliminate, or realign work
- Ensure day‑to‑day activities align with the Bank’s risk appetite, risk culture, and control frameworks
- Build and sustain a strong control environment across operational, regulatory, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk
- Create an inclusive, high‑performance environment by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, and supporting succession and development planning
- Champion a customer‑focused mindset while leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and capabilities
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Strong knowledge of Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and wholesale banking operations
- Experience developing enterprise or functional strategies, operating models, and execution roadmaps
- Proven experience supporting large‑scale change initiatives, including requirements definition, impact assessment, and delivery support
- Background in operations management and risk management within a regulated financial services environment
- Experience supporting or leading modernization and technology transformation initiatives
- Exposure to operational risk, regulatory/compliance risk, AML/ATF, and conduct risk frameworks within a banking environment
- Experience working across complex, multi‑stakeholder project portfolios
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
