Purpose

The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Client Experience drives enterprise-wide strategic growth through partnerships, client acquisition, and innovative marketing initiatives. This role develops and executes strategies that convert partnership opportunities into measurable growth, enhance client and partner journeys, and strengthen brand presence across diverse segments including cultural, medical, and corporate. Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships team, this position combines strategic planning, marketing and branding, communications, event activation, and client experience design to deliver measurable impact. It leverages data-driven insights to inform decisions, optimize programs, and unlock opportunities, while ensuring all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

Strategy Development

  • Develop and manage annual and long-term strategic planning for Strategic Partnerships across Scotia Wealth Management, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth objectives.
  • Design strategies that resonate with diverse client segments and unlock value across internal business lines.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and client needs to inform strategic priorities.
  • Champion initiatives that strengthen brand presence and deepen engagement across segments.

Client & Partner Journey

  • Lead the end-to-end design, mapping, and continuous optimization of client and partner journeys, ensuring data-driven experiences that enhance engagement, acquisition, and retention.
  • Leverage insights from analytics, feedback loops, and market research to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with internal business lines and external partners to deliver seamless, omni-channel experiences that align with strategic growth objectives and drive measurable outcomes.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and implement innovative, multi-channel marketing strategies and partnership campaigns that amplify brand visibility, strengthen market positioning, and directly support revenue growth and client acquisition goals.
  • Create integrated communication plans to promote Strategic Partnerships across diverse audiences and segments.
  • Ensure all marketing and communication initiatives are aligned with enterprise objectives, leveraging storytelling, thought leadership, and content marketing to deepen engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Monitor campaign performance using advanced analytics, optimizing tactics in real time to maximize ROI and demonstrate measurable impact.

Specialized Program Development

  • Design, implement, and oversee specialized programs that drive revenue growth, deepen relationships with clients and partners, or grow brand awareness and consideration of Scotia Wealth Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor program performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Leadership & People Management

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to direct reports, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk requirements.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA is an asset.
  • 7–10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, marketing, client experience, or strategic planning, ideally within financial services; healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Proven success in partnership development, event activation, and enterprise integration.
  • Strong knowledge of banking, wealth management, and related financial services sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; bilingualism is an asset.
  • Skilled in leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions and demonstrate ROI.
  • Highly adaptable, with strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.

 

Working Conditions

  • Standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
  • Moderate domestic travel required.
