The role:

 

The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives plays a key role within the Technology Operations team, driving large-scale initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, operational performance, and strategic innovation. This role serves as a trusted partner to business leaders and key stakeholders across Technology and the bank, identifying and implementing opportunities for operational excellence. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring that initiatives are strategically aligned with Technology priorities to support a culture of continuous improvement delivering measurable impact.


What will you do?

 

•    Drive strategic initiatives within technology operations, supporting the VP, COO with emerging priorities.
•    Implement operating model changes and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Work on key technology priorities as they arise, providing structure and execution support.
•    Collaborate across departments to develop frameworks, processes, and governance structures.
•    Support spend management control efforts, working with various teams.
•    Create presentation templates, tracking mechanisms, and intake processes for initiatives.
•    Analyze risks, opportunities, and roadblocks, proactively developing solutions.
•    Assist in change management efforts to facilitate adoption of new processes and models. 
Provide ad-hoc support on time-sensitive projects and emerging operational challenges.
 


What do you need to succeed?


•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify factors that have an immediate effect on business goals
•    Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities to ensure timely delivery while giving strong attention to detail
•    Proactive attitude and positive working demeanor
•    Very strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with senior management and team members
•    Ability to lead high-volume tasks, maintain composure during busy times, and effectively deliver on time-sensitive projects
•    Strong knowledge of financial accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
•    Advanced knowledge of business-related computer software, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
•    Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to work under own initiative
•    Accounting-related experience and advanced analytical skills
•    Broad knowledge of the bank's asset management products and services
•    University undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or other related field;
