The Senior Manager, Specialty Segments - Multicultural Banking contributes to the overall success of priority segments for Retail Customer Growth in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Responsible for leading the relaunch and national expansion of the Bank’s Multicultural Banking program. This role will define and execute a comprehensive strategy to better serve diverse communities, drive client acquisition and primacy, and embed multicultural banking capabilities across the distribution network.
The incumbent will act as a strategic connector across product, marketing, partnerships, and frontline teams to ensure culturally relevant, scalable, and commercially impactful solutions.

- Program Relaunch & Strategy Development
- Lead the end-to-end relaunch of the Multicultural Banking program, including strategy, value proposition, and go-to-market approach
- Define priority segments and communities based on market opportunity, demographic trends, and client needs
- Develop a clear multi-year roadmap to drive sustainable growth, client primacy, and brand relevance
- Establish success metrics (e.g., acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention)
- Distribution Enablement & Execution
- Drive integration of the Multicultural Banking strategy across Retail, Commercial, and other key distribution channels
- Partner with regional leadership and frontline teams to embed program execution into day-to-day sales and advisory practices
- Develop tools, playbooks, and client engagement frameworks to support consistent execution nationally
- Monitor performance and adoption across regions; identify gaps and implement course corrections
- Client-Centric Value Proposition
- Design culturally relevant banking solutions, advisory models, and client experiences tailored to diverse communities
- Leverage insights and data to understand client behaviours, needs, and barriers to engagement
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure offerings meet the evolving needs of multicultural segments (e.g., newcomers, established communities, business owners)
- Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with community organizations, cultural associations, and external stakeholders
- Leverage partnerships to drive awareness, access, and trust within key communities
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Communications, Community Investment) to amplify reach and impact
- Marketing & Brand Positioning
- Partner with Marketing to develop targeted, culturally relevant campaigns and engagement strategies
- Ensure consistent and authentic brand representation across all multicultural initiatives
- Support community-based events, activations, and sponsorships to deepen market presence
- Performance Management & Governance
- Establish and track KPIs to measure program effectiveness, ROI, and client outcomes
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure all initiatives are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks
- Leadership & Influence
- Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader in multicultural banking across the organization
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver integrated solutions
- Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and client-centricity within the program
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 7–10+ years leadership experience in retail banking, strategy, or segment management
- Strong experience developing and executing national strategies across multiple channels
- Deep understanding of diverse/multicultural client segments and market dynamics (Canadian context preferred)
- Proven ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders at senior levels
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to drive decision-making
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
- Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to translate vision into execution
- Highly collaborative, with strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
- Results-driven with a focus on measurable business outcomes
