The Role

As a Senior Manager you will lead the design, build, and ongoing evolution of technology solutions that power complex wholesale banking processes. This role combines technical depth hands-on contribution with people leadership, delivery ownership, and stakeholder management to deliver secure, scalable, governed, and compliant platforms.

  • Lead modernization and delivery of technology solutions for GWO utilities, emphasizing efficiency, automation, and compliance.
  • Provide senior-level technical guidance on architecture, system design, and hands-on issue resolution for Java/Spring Boot platforms.
  • Promote best practices in software engineering, DevOps, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Cultivate an inclusive and high-performing culture and collaborate with stakeholders to drive results.
  • Assess and implement modern technologies—including cloud, APIs, automation, and AI—to optimize operations and minimize technical debt.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing front- and back-end features with JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue, and Node.js/Java/.NET/Python. Skilled in designing and maintaining REST/GraphQL APIs, implementing authentication and authorization, and integrating external services.
  • Direct experience deploying, debugging, and operating applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and production issue resolution
  • Practical experience writing automated tests, fixing bugs, refactoring legacy code, and improving application performance, reliability, and security in live systems
  • 7+ years of professional, hands on full stack development experience delivering production systems
