Purpose

 

The Senior Manager, Sales Effectiveness contributes to the overall success of the GTB Global Sales Team by supporting the business with COO functions and initiatives to help drive sales and increase revenue. They will ensure business initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s strategies and objectives. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for, at times, supporting with creating strategic sales content for client pitches and customizing client-facing materials, such as proposals, custom documents, and PowerPoint presentations.

The Senior Manager ensures all activities conducted comply with governing regulations, risk appetite, and internal policies and procedures across Scotiabank’s global footprint.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

 

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Support GTB Sales COO functions through various tasks including alignment with other business lines on client planning, scorecard/target setting, identifying training needs, in addition to specific COO functions for the U.S. market related to strategy, initiatives, results, and risk metrics, in support of GTB’s U.S. growth plans.  
  • Support continuing to establish a structure in GTB Sales to ensure strong sales performance.
  • Support effective communication and change management across GTB, strengthening collaboration between Product and Sales. Lead or support the implementation and communication of initiatives/projects in support of business objectives.
  • Act as a Salesforce champion and subject matter expert and GTB Sales liaison with the Client Insights & Analytics team as well as GTB Analytics for business-related changes and/or improvements, deriving from valuable insights from GTB Sales partners. 
  • Support the competitive analysis of GTB’s peers in Canada and the U.S. by leveraging both internal groups and external available information, with the overall objective of strengthening sales teams’ knowledge of our competitive position in the market and to win more business.
  • Contribute to the business development and financial success of GTB Sales through the development of customized, client-facing materials for multinational cash management and card opportunities across Scotiabank’s global footprint.
  • Collaborate with the GTB Sales Team and the Proposal Writing Team, offering strategic input and guidance on GTB products and services being pitched, RFP response strategy, professional writing, and copyediting, proofreading and customized business writing solutions to curate winning sales pitches.
  • Manage the Business Continuity Plan for GTB in Canada for Product and Sales teams.
  • Safeguard the Bank's assets and liabilities by maintaining adherence to the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering program, Guidelines for Business Conduct, Operational Risk program, and Information Security standards by reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activities as per established procedure
  • Support the Director, Sales Effectiveness by ensuring corporate representation and engagement with internal stakeholders as required (e.g., attending meetings, ensuring alignment with leadership decisions) for related GTB initiatives that impact Corporate Sales

 

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Sales, Sales Enablement, Marketing and/or equivalent fields
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably in Commerce, Communications, or English), or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of GTB services, products, and sales culture
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong editing skills.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with using Salesforce Tier 1 and Customer 360 to track, export, analyze and disseminate information with a high degree of accuracy.
  • High organizational and project management skills, being able to handle a large number of concurrent, high-priority activities and requests.
  • Strong curiosity and research capabilities to obtain background information and insights for projects which the incumbent may or may not be thoroughly familiar with
  • Good understanding of the Corporate, Commercial and International Bank’s objectives, strategies, and structure is also required
