Contributes to the overall success of the GTEP Performance Capacity Management  & GTEP SRO team  in Canada  and globally, ensuring specific individual and team goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The Performance and Capacity Management (PCM) team’s mandate is to help minimize production outage.  The team leverages industry’s best monitoring tools and practices and offers full stack end-to-end monitoring services in the Bank, including Canadian Banking, International Banking, and Wealth Management.
The GTEP SRE team is part the GTEP Infrastructure & Operations and works with the Global SRO to ensure consistent Resilience practices across the GTEP portfolio including Incident, Problem and Change Management, Operational Readiness and Playbook compliance.
  
The team offers consulting services, deploys monitoring tools, investigates performance bottlenecks, and supports production incidents.

Senior Manager of SaaS Applications & Governance will lead the enterprise strategy for managing third-party software and SaaS solutions across the organization. This role is responsible for establishing governance, improving visibility into software consumption and spend, and ensuring the organization maximizes value from its technology investments.


Role will oversee the lifecycle management of software assets including discovery, entitlement management, usage analysis, vendor governance, and cost optimization. 


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Lead the development and execution of the enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy covering both on-premise software and SaaS platforms.
• Establish policies and governance frameworks to manage software licensing, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure accurate inventory, entitlement management, and reconciliation of software assets across the enterprise environment.
• Build a centralized SaaS management capability to improve visibility into SaaS usage, subscriptions, and spend.
• Identify opportunities to optimize license consumption, remove unused subscriptions, and reduce redundant applications.
• Partner with business units to rationalize SaaS solutions and align software usage with business needs.
• Lead vendor governance for key strategic software publishers including contract oversight, license utilization reviews, and renewal planning.
• Support procurement and vendor management teams in software negotiations, renewals, and enterprise licensing strategies.
• Provide insights into software usage and demand forecasting to support commercial decision making.
• Implement and manage enterprise tools for software discovery, license management, and SaaS application monitoring.
• Automate data collection, reconciliation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain high-quality software asset data to support operational reporting, compliance monitoring, and financial planning.
• Reduce financial and compliance risk associated with software licensing through proactive monitoring and internal controls.
• Support software audit responses and maintain defensible license positions with major vendors.
• Partner with security and risk teams to improve governance around software procurement and usage.
• Deliver executive reporting on software usage, SaaS spend, vendor concentration, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop key performance indicators to measure the maturity and effectiveness of the SAM and SaaS management program.
• Continuously evolve the program by incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies such as AI-driven software analytics.

• Enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) expertise across on‑premise and SaaS, including discovery, entitlements, reconciliation, and lifecycle management. 
• Proven experience establishing software and SaaS governance frameworks, policies, and standards in a large enterprise. 
• Demonstrated ability to drive SaaS visibility and spend optimization, including usage analysis and license rationalization. 
• Strong experience managing strategic software vendors and licensing models, including renewals, utilization reviews, and audit readiness. 
• Ability to deliver executive‑level reporting and insights on software usage, spend, risk, and optimization outcomes.
