Title:  Senior Manager, Retail Productivity & Lean

The incumbent will support the analysis and roll out several productivity improvement initiatives to various support groups within Retail Banking.  The incumbent is expected to bring a level of knowledge to identify, evaluate and recommend improvements to organizational structure, process, and productivity.  The role spans activities from coaching individuals within the support areas, organizing and supporting opportunity review sessions, supporting critical diagnostics, supporting value stream mapping with large teams, developing future state design and potential benefits, to supporting implementations.  Demonstrated experience with business analysis, process improvement and project management methodologies is required. The incumbent will also be expected to present recommendations/solutions/project status to management.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Support projects to identify opportunities for productivity improvement through Lean and Process Re-engineering core competencies; utlizing various tools but not limited to:
    • Time in Motion Analysis
    • Demand, Flow and Capacity Analysis
    • Key Performance Indicators
    • Customer Demand Analysis (Voice of the Customer)
    • Detailed Problem Solving
    • Waste Analysis
    • Management Systems (ie. Whiteboards and Huddles)
    • End-to-end process assessment and Design
    • Lite technology usage such as RPA, Share point workflow, maximizing usage of current Bank technology
  • Analysis of business processes, develop hypotheses, synthesize findings, and communicate opportunities for improvement  
  • Support the development strategies and recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation and training strategies/plan
  • Work with business partners to develop pipeline of new projects for the team
  • Support all aspects of the diagnostic, design and implementation stages of a project by working with cross functional teams
  • Support change management activities within one or more program waves
  • Complete required objectives within a wave to achieve desired targets
  • Support training and workshops, provide consultation to the target business groups in implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Complete other duties as assigned 
     

Experience / Education:

 

  • Graduate degree in business or related discipline. Six Sigma Black Belt / Lean certification, CFA or PMP designations are assets
  • MBA considered an asset
  • Expert knowledge and more than 7 years of experience in a business, financial or operations setting.
  • Experience in leading/supporting multi-stakeholder complex initiatives, proven track record of meeting deliverables on time and within budget
