Role
Own the modernization and industrialization of regulatory reporting for Canadian Banking — transforming legacy End‑User Computing (EUC) workflows into scalable, controlled, cloud-based processes that deliver timely, repeatable, and audit-ready outcomes.
This role is accountable for delivering end-to-end regulatory reporting automation supporting Global Risk Management within Global Corporate Functions Technologies. You will operate at the intersection of Risk, Finance, and Technology, driving simplification and resilience through cloud, automation, and AI-enabled approaches, while ensuring alignment to regulatory and SOX control expectations.

- Deliver timely, repeatable, and audit-ready regulatory reporting outcomes for Canadian Banking.
- Reduce reliance on EUC-based processes by migrating workflows to controlled scalable, cloud-based solutions.
- Ensure strong controls across reporting processes, including lineage, validations, attestations, change management, and evidence capture, aligned to regulatory and SOX expectations.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong expertise in regulatory capital and/or credit loss forecasting, with direct experience supporting regulatory reporting outcomes.
- Advanced hands-on capability in Python, Docker, Airflow, and cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to reverse-engineer legacy tools and convert them into automated, governed workflows.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, including LLMs and agentic approaches, with a focus on control and explainability.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of regulatory reporting automation, ensuring outcomes are accurate, repeatable, and audit-ready.
- Be accountable for regulatory-grade controls, including:
- Data lineage and validations
- Approvals and attestations
- Change management and evidence capture aligned to regulatory and SOX requirements
- Reverse-engineer legacy EUC workflows (e.g., spreadsheets, macros, scripts) and translate business logic into engineered, production-grade solutions.
- Industrialize and scale automation using:
- Python, Docker, Airflow
- Cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP, including scheduling, dependency management, and rerun logic
- Drive modernization by incorporating:

- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Agentic automation approaches to reduce manual effort and operational risk, with a focus on controls and explainability
- Partner with Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Lead and develop a team of up to 15 professionals across engineering, analytics, and delivery.

- Deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, control strength, and audit readiness through cloud-based automation.
- Work at the intersection of risk, technology, and advanced AI to shape the future of regulatory reporting for Canadian Banking.
