As the Senior Manager, Registered Plans and Advice, you will contribute to the overall product strategy, plan growth, design, development and management of all Registered Plan products within Retail at Scotiabank. You will also be responsible for ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships by leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

Partner with Product, Finance, Retail Customer Growth and Digital Marketing teams to develop and manage our always-on and Investment Season Mass and targeted acquisition strategies to empower our frontline with relevant offers that help acquire and entrench customers with Investment Plan products

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Retail Customer Growth, Global Operations, Marketing and Analytics to execute the monitoring and fulfillment of offers to support our customer acquisition targets and our overall engagement strategy

Manage our annual expense budget in partnership with Finance to ensure we meet our target ROIs and manage our expense growth

Communicate our annual offer calendar to optimize resources and manage timelines with business partners

Partner with Analytics to manage the Investment Plan KPI dashboard, reporting insights on product, offer and client outreach performance

Work closely with partners to develop offer sizing models and business casing for upcoming projects; reviews/validates financial calculations/estimates with Finance and analytics teams

Engage with Branch, Contact Centre and Digital partners to improve Investment plan positioning in advice conversations with clients

Support as an Investment Plan product expert on any Branch support initiatives, regulatory changes, digital enhancements, operational issues and system platform builds

Create a customer obsessed culture which harnesses the power of analytics and data in decision making to deepen customer relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge

Foster a coaching mindset and effectively communicate the strategic vision, values, business strategy and Team principles

Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits, communicating the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

Post-secondary education required; MBA or degree in finance, business administration, or marketing is preferred

Several years of professional experience within the Financial Services/Banking industry

Thorough knowledge of the Canadian financial services marketplace and solid understanding of the deposit market, products, and services

Strong qualitative and quantitative financial analysis/research skills
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially creating and delivering strong business focused strategic plans and driving those plans to fruition

Proven relationship management skills with demonstrated seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external

Passion for creating customer value and curiosity in Retail Banking

Comfortability working in a fast paced and evolving environment

The ability to be an independent thinker with a desire to learn, being a team player who is adept at facilitating group problem solving and relationship building

A desire and demonstrated aptitude to learn and master complex issues quickly
