Job Purpose

As the Senior Manager Project and Program Support within Automotive Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for the management and delivery of multiple high profile / complex projects that will transform the delivery channel across the retail prime, retail near-prime and commercial businesses.


Key Accountabilities

  • Successfully and in a timely manner leading the execution and results for inter and cross-departmental projects by:
    • Developing project implementation schedules based on a strong understanding of the impact on the business and key support functions and through reviewing business requirements with internal/external clients, outside vendors, 3rd parties, etc;
    • Managing and following all project deliverables, activities and dependencies; tracking milestones and priorities; including the delivery, execution and consideration of all key aspects of projects -- planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, time/cost estimates and a review of project work;
    • Using problem solving and analytical skills to rapidly  assess problem situations and creatively develop alternate solutions as necessary to resolve complex problems;
    • Develop and maintain ongoing metrics for reporting on projects and program support performance to AF leadership;
  • The position requires expert team building skills to create and sustain highly motivated groups with diverse and multifunctional reporting units, including external parties that are not within the incumbent’s direct supervision. This includes maintaining the momentum of the project or program against the background of changing and occasionally conflicting priorities.
  • Ongoing communication of project status, providing input for Executive Steering Committee meetings and other communication as required.

Education/ Experiences

  • 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, successfully managing and delivering large complex projects with a proven ability to concurrently manage multiple projects of varying complexity in a sophisticated matrix management organization. To be effective, a thorough knowledge of the Bank’s formal and informal organization structure is imperative.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business or a related discipline
