Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated & creative team player to join the IWM BD&T team as Senior Manager, Program Delivery Wealth Transformation, in this role you will be responsible for defining, leading, and maintaining the delivery of IWM projects related to the Business transformation and Regulatory Initiatives. In this role, the incumbent, will report to Director, Program Delivery and will be expected to ensure all IWM transformation initiatives are on track by supporting a solid program management governance & execution framework.

 

The Senior Manager contributes to the long-term profitability of the International Wealth Management (IWM) business line by establishing performance goals and work practices which drive the design and development IWM transformation. 

This is a demanding hands-on and strategic role which requires the incumbent to be knowledgeable of the financial services sector, knowledgeable in emerging digital trends in the Wealth Management industry, and has deep experience in collaboration with international teams, especially Pacific Alliance, Central America & Caribbean regions.

 

Project delivery experience is mandatory for this role and Spanish fluency is consider a nice to have

 

Accountabilities
Defining, leading, and maintaining the delivery of IWM Business Transformation Programs and Regulatory Initiatives 

  • Execute, map and document each project, with the Product Owners, to manage investments and costs associated to the execution of the programs. Strategic-to-tactical approach mindset.
  • Effectively and proactively manage financials.  Prepare funding requests & business cases in line with Finance and ePMO guidelines (e.g. yearly SIP).  Manage the business cases associated with key initiatives:

                -  Actual’s QA
                -  Resource QA
                -  Timesheets QA
                -  Accruals
                -  Forecast and maintenance 

  • Provide program management leadership and senior executive communication for strategic initiatives for assigned initiatives.  This includes leading steering committee meetings, inclusion of Wealth content in bank or divisional communications and tracking of expenditures against budget.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, business teams and other stakeholders globally to ensure momentum on deliverables & milestones.  Thoroughly understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Report status and ensure alignment between many stakeholders across multiple areas of the bank and manage all aspects of the budget, schedule, risks, issues, reporting and governance of projects
  • Manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex programs involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank, as well as external vendors when required. Integrate inputs from many stakeholders to establish and manage a consolidated scope, schedule and budget for the program.
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, action items and key decisions across the program. Risk tracking, managing funding (OP) including budget forecasting, accruals and reconciliation. Enterprise Delivery Framework compliance, as required.  

 

Partner with in-country transformation teams for alignment & transparency purposes

  • Work closely with in-country Program Leads to ensure successful management and implementation of various bank and divisional projects/programs within IWM.
  • Own accurate updates of all transformation/modernization initiatives within IWM.  

 

Standardize delivery approach, communications, & update committees

  • Design quorums to ensure best usage of time, utilize Bank’s standard on Better at Meetings best practices.
  • Champion continuous delivery improvement, such as using feedback forms, relationship building.
  • Standardize and continuously modernize presentation templates, executive summary dashboards.
  • Lead the business on designing RACI matrixes required for End-to-End Processes,

  • Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.


Dimension

  • Supports International Wealth Management, including Wealth Distribution & Trust, Asset Management & Pensions at head office, and collaborate with respective teams globally to ensure alignment and execution success of in-country transformations.
  • Must have previous successes in delivering complex transformation programs.

 

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

  • University degree in business, engineering, accounting, finances, or similar
  • Over 5 years of transformations and/or bank experiences
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional persistence and resilience
  • Demonstrated success delivering highly complex business initiatives
  • Experience in leading and coaching teams, with track record of attracting and developing talent.  Success influencing cross-cultural matrix-organized teams.
  • Executive communication skills & ability to prepare Steerco materials collaboratively, run Steerco meetings for executive awareness and decision making.
  • Disciplined financials management & program management skills.
  • Critical thinking skills: using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions, summarize conclusions and approaches to mitigate risks
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with business and technology partners globally
  • Relevant working experience in the financial sector, Wealth Management experience an asset
  • Spanish fluency is an asset.
  • Ability to structure programs and co-create delivery roadmaps
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and parameters impacting the design and delivery of products and services within the Wealth Management industry
  • Ability to work in high pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
